Bull
Redfish run the Galveston Jetties during the
Spring and the Fall and can make for some
very fast action.
Redfish
run from 15 to 40 pounds and is not uncommon
to catch 20 to 30 per day.
Most
of these fish are found on the beachfront
or Jetties and caught on
dead shad or mullet and occasionally on artificial
plugs on the beach. Redfish are known for
their strength and schooling capabilities.
The
limit on Redfish is 3 per person, minimum
20 inches long, max 28 inches long. You can
keep one fish over 28 inches per year.
These fish make for 15-20 minutes of fun when
catching them on terminal tackle, with 15-20
lb.
